A short rant about my lack of artistic taste by DA standards...
For f***'s sake, I can't even post a link without it putting the image of a wagging nude butt up.
In the undiscovered section today, I came upon a gift of a young woman shaking her naked ass at the camera with a jiggling dildo in the background. In the description, it is pretty obvious that she is aspiring to sell nudes. Looking at the rules, this is completely allowed.
I am ultimately just ranting into the wind, but this community is devolving into a freaky porn fetish site for any amateur willing to put on a show for the internet masses. Or who knows? Maybe I just don't have any taste where art is involved.
I think I will go to a museum and sit in the corner. At least I know that they have some standards there. Sure, it may be a pile of garbage in the corner, watercolor smears on notebook paper that my dog could vomit up, or a chunk of wood with a crowbar shoved in it--but it still has more artistic worth than what this site is permitting to pass as "art."

In the complaints section today, I came upon an OP of a young woman bitching about ass on the internet with an annoying art police complex. In the description, it is pretty obvious that she is bitching about something extremely pointless. Looking at the OP, I went to her page to find nothing but shitty MLP/fan art.
I am ultimately just ranting into the wind, but people in the community are devolving into a bunch of over sensitive art policing ass hats who decide to put up lame threads for the internet masses. Or who knows? Maybe I just don't have any taste where tolerable people are involved.
I think I will go to a page where decent MLP/fan art resides and lurk. At least I know that they have some talent there. If anything, those nudes could be used as anatomy/pose references. Hell, those pics might actually inspire something.

I think you're doing one thing incorrectly- and that's browsing the site via the homepage or current most-popular (which just loads pictures that are getting spiked).
I've been here 9 years and learned in year two not to do this. Especially because using homepage is also where all the ads fuck with your browser, and you get bombarded with tons of images in browsing- 70% of which is just spam. That's the only other name I have for some of the awkward looking, ugly, hideous perversions teenagers like to upload.
I suggest hanging around the Art Scene and Thumbshare forums more. Most of the thumbshares are more conservative in their picture choice, you get the oddie posting his crappy deformed nude scribbles but mostly those guys get ignored, most people just share art.

What I personally do is enter one of my interests in the search engine and then browse the Newest section. That allows me to narrow down my browsing to new uploads that actually appeal to me.
