I have 2 complaints of DeviantArt.
Here are my complaints:
1) Locking topics:
Moderators locking topics before the person that posted the topic can reply. Today I had 2 topics locked before I can reply to what the others had done. I am sick of trigger happy moderators that lock topics before you can reply. Whoever the owner of DeviantArt is tell your moderators to stop.

Please have a look at the forum rules before making another thread. You can find them to the top of every forum. If you want to discuss a thread being closed you can do so by noting the person who did so or you can contact the Help Desk

Well, the CEO of dA is spyed but I don't think he is in charge of the community volunteers. If I recall, Moonbeam13 is. Then you have the people like dxd who is part of the Copyright and Etiquette team; ask him about violations. But of course, you can contact these people through the Help Desk because that's where you go to enquire about the how the site is ran, but if you want to note them, then do so.
But us normal standard users that are the regulars of this forum, can't do shit and probably won't do shit, but only tell you what we know because we've read the fucking rules of this god damned forum and the site. There is no point bitching to us about it.

The rules CLEARLY forbid pornographic photos. Rules which YOU AGREED TO when you fucking signed up for the site. If you wanna post porn, then go the fuck elsewhere. It's fucking simple to anyone who isn't a brain dead retard.

1. If you had a topic locked, it's for a good reason. You violated the rules, twice. I have post topics before and I never had topics that I created locked. If you have a problem with that, take this privately via notes and not here.
2. This is because, deviants haven't been caught submitting works that are deemed pornographic. If they're caught, the offending works will get removed and they could be at risk of losing their account:

What you lack in ability to make good complaints, you compensate for in your ability to make kick-ass art with that cool marker style I love so much.
The only thing that really pisses me off are people that post a thread and then lock it themselves (not a moderator locking it) before anyone has replied. Like they just wanted to shout out to the world but couldn't give a shit to hear any replies.
It reminds me of a drive-by but less effective.

And the fucking spammers seem to have started that, which is annoying since people can't tag a mod and have them (hopefully) pass the spammer onto staff to be banned. I say a new rule should be put in place that you have to wait at least a day before you can lock a thread!

I thought that too, but 3wyl said that would just create a number of other problems if the thread gets really out of hand in less than 24 hours. I think maybe 2 or 3 before self locking is reasonable, or asking a mod if it's really bad in that time.
Yeah that makes sense. Give it an hour or two just to let people chime in if they want. Forums are a two way street, after all.
I'm just going to echo what everyone else said on that first point and say that you broke the rules and thus got a lock for your troubles. It's the way things work around here.
On that second point I will simply say that none of the images you linked (that hadn't been taken down in the four years since that journal was posted) break any of the site rules and thus are perfectly legitimate images. On a side note, I find it amusing that you seem to think posting a picture of a penis violates federal law.
