Adults in onesies

:iconsadistskunk:

I went to an anime convention yesterday.. (I know, I know.. I'm such a total furry weeaboo fucker and I should be ashamed of myself.)

It was fun and I was fine with the fat guys in dresses, the flamboyant bisexuals with FREE HUGS signs and the random wannabe Asians..
But I do have one little complaint.. Adults in onesies.. :stare:
It seemed to be the lastest fashion in anime-land. One in 10 people there was wearing animal/pokemon onesies..
It looks horrible and unflattering on anyone and no one over 2 year of age should want to be seen wearing it in public..

Anti-complaint: Every time I wanted to take a photo of someone that look aweful, they'd pose and smile because they thought I loved their awesum pikachu cosplay. =D

My friends are geeks too.. But they're less weird.. Or they're less open about how weird they are..

This reminded me of something:

when I get a new cat I'm naming it Nekoyasha.

That's a sucky name for a cat..
I know that "Neko" means cat, I don't know what "Yasha" means. Yasha sounds like it could be a decent name..

Yasha means demon.

And don't worry, that was just a joke. I'd name him/her something fluffy.

"Cat Demon" is a hilarious name.

Sadly, I know someone who already named their cat Neko Yasha sadly.

How dare they. :U

If my knowledge of Japanese fashion (which yes, can be very odd at times) is currently in tact, this is pretty normal. It isn't really a fetish or fursuit thing or even laziness, it is just (weird) fashion. It must be now just arriving in the US.

I have a cat Kigu. It's unflattering as fuck all.
Doesn't seem any weirder then the other things I've worn in front of other nerds.
After all an Arthur Dent costume is just P.J's and a bath robe.

Cat collars are pretty tiny though.. I don't think many people fit one. xD
Dog collars are actually pretty comfortable though. =)

Onesies are warm and comfy for indoors, but wearing them outside is stupid.

I wouldn't wear them inside either, but it's more acceptable than wearing them outside.

My friend looked quite adorable in her penguin onesie :paranoid: But yes, they seem to be the trend... I guess it's an instant cosplay for those that don't want to/ know how to sew something from scratch

 I bought little clip-on cat ears for 10 euros. I'm guessing that's cheaper than a onesie and you can cosplay like half of the anime characters with that.

It looks ridiculous, but I think I find it acceptable for a thirteen year old to wear it indoors.
They probably don't know any better and I looked ridiculous too when I was that age.. >_>
