A first world problem

:iconwitwitch:
witwitch Featured By Owner Feb 7, 2013  Student Writer
I bought this huge thing of ramen and it did not include the little flavoring packages.

As I was in a hurry to get to school on time, I did not have time to prepare my own flavorings.

So I ate the unflavored ramen in boiled water. And it sucked. :(

Mix the ramen with tomato sauce and you have quick spaghetti! It's good :3

Unflavored ramen is delicious. You don't even need water, just eat it like a poptart on the go

I find Cup O Noodles is best for this.

Dry sure, but then you'd have to carry trash if you took it on the go. You could just shove a ramen square in your pocket!

That's true, but the square ramens don't taste as good dry for some reason.

Yeah, I guess, if you're comparing to cup o noodles. They have all those extra little flavory bits.

Yeah. I started on those and now I can't dry eat any other ramens.

Just lightly toast the crunchy ramen brick and then spread some, I don't know, butter and marmite on it. Pretend like it is a classy thing, do it in public.

I once got 2 flavor packages instead of 1.

It was... Pretty good actually, although a bit weird at the end.

It was so good, I started to buy 2 ramen packs and put them all together. It kinda evens out, seeing as there's 2 sets of noodles, but it's still good, and you, at least, feel a bit mroe full. =p

I've done that, too. It's amazing!

My favorite ramen brand comes with three different flavorings: 1 pack of flavoring powder, 1 chili powder to make it spicy, and 1 thingy of garlic paste.

Mine just has a pack of some kinda spices and a pack of oil. But I haven't really tried much of any different ones. There might be some out there which are 10 times better, who knows, heh.

Last time I witnessed my dad's version of cooking, it was salted spaghetti noodles with chopped up vienna sausages :bleh: I don't know how people can eat just plain noodles...

I lurv ramen plain or flavoured, though I suspect that when plain, it's better eaten dry. :meow:

I agree with this. Unfortunately, I boiled mine. It gets difficult to eat after you lose the hungry feeling.

I'll have to remember not to eat plain noodles in the future.

Oh, in a pinch? Olive oil and garlic. :P

Oh man! That sucks! Something good to have in the kitchen are some bullion cubes (stock cubes) they work just as well as the flavor packets.

I've never been a big fan of ramen. I go for the prepackaged mac-and-cheese more and the ridiculously cheap "cup of soups over ramen." But ramen usually tastes of suck with the flavoring packets, so I can't imagine what it tastes like without them. :stare:

I've never had to deal with this issue as whenever I make ramen I chuck the flavor packet out and replace it with melted butter mixed with garlic salt.

Ha, Nando's is a spicy thingy. Really tasty, but too hot. I add it when I can't think of anything to add to flavour something.
