personally my only qualm with it is the color scheme which is an easy fix, and the fact that I have to upload stuff unsuccessfully, go to my stash to find it, and then attempt to submit it to my gallery.
and this is for 50x50 pixel art. for the larger works it took about 30 minutes after uploading it just to upload it to my gallery.
Examples of quite extreme instances, and 52 lawsuits a day for just copy right is a drop in the bucket of all lawsuits, probably not even .1%. I know in the end it is about keeping protecting and making money but people can't always go all willy nilly with someone else's hard work.
Of course I think it's a good thing. As when people try to sell my work they get sued or banned. Which it has happened before.
Well, the white is harsh on the eyes. And the old one was more intuitive and easy to use. Also, the new one has so many "hidden" features that you don't realise until you click on all the buttons - with the old one, they were all just there.
I don't like the new page aswell, but what makes me really angry is, that DA doesn't give a shit about how many people don't want it. They didn't listen to their beta tester, and they don't listen to all of their user. Since they run DeviantArt those people should want to fullfil their users wishes so the user want to stay, want to pay and invite more people, because if thing's aren't like that, what would DA be? It wouldn't be anything without user who upload art and writings. But what do the staff member do? They ignore DA's member, and if they continue like this the site sooner or later will die. They simply HAVE to open their eyes and realise that they need user, and that those won't stay if they get ignored and made unhappy.
The only thing I don't like about it is that I'm unable to fix the other settings while it's loading. Really, that's saved me loads of time in the past, multitasking. Though I will admit the bright white is obnoxious.
Yeah, it is a little jarring since it's a different colour than the rest of the site. The colour change works for the sta.sh page, but I don't know why they made the main-site submit page look like sta.sh.
