I can't afford the costs of college at all. However, I live in a country that if you are from an economical socially disadvantaged background, they will pay your fees. Since I fall into that category, I only have to pay maintenance!
However, if you have been as poor as I have, you learn to stretch your money. :C
So. Uh. Apparently I need to sleep more because I walked outside and went to lunch without noticing that I wasn't wearing a coat, despite the fact that it was somewhere below 10 F. Yeeeeah. How did I get into college again?
I'm confused how an American can be like "lol if you go to college you can afford a coat" when I can't afford to pay Ontario's meager 6k tuition in comparison... But would also you know, be hospitalized if I went a month without a coat in this weather.
Regardless, check out the lost and found. You can always just you know, take one of the old coats they've had there for five years unless your school sells out it's lost and found every semester.
Honestly, I'm in an expensive school on scholarship and financial aid because I'm really freaking lucky. People who go here can afford coats and if not, there's a free box that usually has one they could take and a thrift shop with $5 jackets a ten minute walk away. But I found my coat it's about 10F here, so while not horrible, a coat is a plus.
I thought 10F was a weird number since I'm Canadian but no, it's as cold as I thought you meant I mean, we've been at -40F here for the past two weeks so it's not nearly as bad, although... now i'm just confused how is it 10F = -11C but -40C = -40F?
I give up temperatures are confusing I am cold I am glad you have a coat.
Celsius to fahrenheit and vice versa confuses me. Though personally I like using fahrenheit to measure temperature like this because I get to use a little number when it's cold and a big number when it's hot, which I feel is a failing of celsius. And yes. That is really really cold. However, this is the midwest so we're used to weather with PMS, but not so many extremes. It's hilarious to watch people who live in sane climates try to figure out our weather, though. Thank you
