Just... why.

So I'm not a fan of today. I just did quite badly on a chemistry quiz and a biology test due to being sick and not having time to study. I was sick because I had a bad reaction to donating blood (a combination of not eating or drinking quite enough due to exhaustion and not being able to find food that day that was low enough in fat so they'd still be able to do the blood tests). Being sick also made an old but still very annoying back injury hurt a lot more.
Today I'm feeling better... Except that my coat just disappeared and may have been stolen when I forgot it in the cafeteria for five minutes. It's cold outside and I really freaking like that coat. If someone did steal it and it turns out they really needed a coat that much (unlikely, as if you're paying for college you can go to a thrift store and pay $10 for a coat, or deal for a month until it gets warmer) they could have just... like... asked.
Why. Why today. Why.

I fell down the stairs at my internship on Tuesday and had to act like my leg wasn't hurt the rest of the week.
It totally is :stare: my body hates me. It doesn't heal normally.

If you had properly prepared your body for the blood donation, you wouldn't have gotten sick, and thus would have been well enough to study for the chemistry quiz.

As for the coat, check the lost and found, or borrow a coat of your choosing from one of your housemates who has way too many goddamn coats. This is how I acquired my current coat.

I can't afford the costs of college at all. However, I live in a country that if you are from an economical socially disadvantaged background, they will pay your fees. Since I fall into that category, I only have to pay maintenance! :dummy:

However, if you have been as poor as I have, you learn to stretch your money. :C

Bullsheeeet, if you're paying for college, you're pinching every penny you can muster up for said college payments.

Most people here, if not all, can afford coats and if not they can check our free box or such. But I found my coat! :D

So. Uh. Apparently I need to sleep more because I walked outside and went to lunch without noticing that I wasn't wearing a coat, despite the fact that it was somewhere below 10 F. Yeeeeah. How did I get into college again?

I'm confused how an American can be like "lol if you go to college you can afford a coat" when I can't afford to pay Ontario's meager 6k tuition in comparison... But would also you know, be hospitalized if I went a month without a coat in this weather.

Regardless, check out the lost and found. You can always just you know, take one of the old coats they've had there for five years unless your school sells out it's lost and found every semester.

Honestly, I'm in an expensive school on scholarship and financial aid because I'm really freaking lucky. People who go here can afford coats and if not, there's a free box that usually has one they could take and a thrift shop with $5 jackets a ten minute walk away. But I found my coat :D it's about 10F here, so while not horrible, a coat is a plus.

I thought 10F was a weird number since I'm Canadian but no, it's as cold as I thought you meant :stare: I mean, we've been at -40F here for the past two weeks so it's not nearly as bad, although... now i'm just confused how is it 10F = -11C but -40C = -40F?

I give up temperatures are confusing I am cold I am glad you have a coat.

Celsius to fahrenheit and vice versa confuses me. :( Though personally I like using fahrenheit to measure temperature like this because I get to use a little number when it's cold and a big number when it's hot, which I feel is a failing of celsius.
And yes. That is really really cold. However, this is the midwest so we're used to weather with PMS, but not so many extremes. It's hilarious to watch people who live in sane climates try to figure out our weather, though.
Thank you :)
