Disney didn't buy this franchise to not make a movie so they can bilk the public for a few billion$. It's business. Sorry but art and cinema and storytelling and honoring great film is not what CEOs care about.
And they're going to make as many Star Wars movies as they can until people stop seeing them and they end up direct to video. That's when they'll drop it. If it takes 28 episodes of horrible movies, then that's what it will take.
After obtaining the rights, Disney announced the idea of Star Wars VII. But thus far as the public knows, it is only an idea for a future movie and has not been worked on beyond a few rumours running around (i.e. Darth Vader being in it.)
