I graduated high school in June of 2012 and had been searching for employment since then, and all I've heard is 'I'm sorry, we're not hiring right now' or 'We only apply online' or some kind of yadda yadda bulls**t. And you know what the worst part is? My parents forced me to look for work and they nagged about it to the point where I would spend twelve hours a day filling out applications and traveling to places to fill them out-- on a bike! Thank God I moved out of there...
I haven't had any luck holding down a job either. What makes it even more frustrating is that I don't get told whether I get the job or not, they just kinda ignore me. To top it all off, I endured a blow to my ego by signing up to a job searching agency even though I just graduated high school about 2 months ago, and they told me that I'm not high priority so they're basically doing jack all for me the first three months. Yeah. Great.
that sucks. right now i just have this commission only job. and my only outlook at a normal hourly paying gig doesn't interview me for another 3 weeks, and then if i get through that, the training wouldn't be for another month after that.
They're actually a pretty big well-known bakery, but from what I heard the few times I was there after they re-opened post-renovations that it was a lot slower than they were expecting. But still, that's just how this time of year is, so yeah they should probably have known.
