Funny I did something similar a while ago when I was employed. There were only 2 of us girls vs 13 is other guys. I don't think I heard any weird pervyness from them though, however at the same time I sat with the other girl fair enough away from them. I just feel intimated sitting near/ being around males I don't know. At least we kicked their ass in the course!
No, they weren't rude or disrespectful. I know it's unfair on my part but in my own defense, I never had a really good history of being treated well by males. It became a subconscious thing after a while where I'd physically stand or sit as far away from them as possible. The only exception to this was/are my boyfriend and best friends.
I did a course like that for Food Hygiene and First Aid. I had a similar problem too, there were a lot more girls than guys and they always stroked my leg, until the point I moved seats to the far corner where this insane looking guy was. The insane looking guy asked why I sat next to him, so I told him and he moved to my spot
THEN with the free spot available, one of the girls moved right next to me. Telling them to fuck off only made it worse too, and the guy leading the course just laughed as if it's only funny when guys get harassed like that. It wasn't a week long either, it was eight.
You know, I've got to agree with you on that. But in my field, I think women tend to be a little too conscious about their bodies when they walk into the ER.
When I tell you to take your shirt off, It's because I want to connect the little shiny things so that we know you're heart is still doing that, you know, beating thing. But noooooooooooo, they don't understand that I've seen more naked women than the vast majority of my male brethren (and probably female too) and I don't care what they look like.
I'll always get the weird ladies that think I'm a perv. =/ But hey, when they chase me out that's just one less patient for me to deal with. It's always the young ones too... Middle age + women don't seem to care as they know what I'm there for. The younger ones make me want to wear a cup. Women, you're all crazy!
