I kinda wish my cat was a lap kitty. But she wasn't handled very much because the woman who sold her to us didn't tell us she had ring worm. So we couldn't hold or touch her in those critical few weeks.
I still got ringworm though. Sweat pants in a hot May is not fun.
I've hurt myself like that without realizing before. Slipped on ice and crashed on to my knee but my tights didn't rip and I was kinda drunk so I figured if the tights didn't rip, I must not have got a cut or anything. When I got home later my tights were stuck to my leg and into this big deep cut I didn't notice. Next day it hurt like hell to put weight on that leg. I concluded they were some badass tights to not get damaged and the blood washed out so they're still good.
Hope your leg gets better and your kitty gets better at jumping.
Reminds me of one time I was riding my own bike around the lake in the city. I rolled over some roots and lost my balance. It stung like hell, but I didn't realise how bad it was until later I inspected the wounds and both my knees were bloody almost to the point of being black and there was gross yellow stuff on them. I have no idea how I managed to keep riding after that.
My 16 year old furry boy has gone almost blind after a kidney failure that almost kills him. He has learned the house again, but every time he tries to jump on my lap misses and of course scratches me. ugh.
You've reminded me about this. I had a kitten who's life meaning was to get on top of the television. He busted his little chin who knows how many times for who knows how many weeks. Then when he finally got up there, he was the proudest little furball in the world!
Hope that you've not somehow sprained your knee or anything worse than it feeling abused.
Ooh, I bet he loves the platform! I'm trying to figure out a way so that mine can get into a window when he sees fit. For some reason he doesn't like the living room windows where he could sun when the weather's good. He wants to be where everyone else is, I suppose.
