Every time I drink soup I am trying to not spill any over my upper quadrant. I don't mind it spilling on my lower quadrant as I am sitting at a table and it will dry before anyone notices it. It's the residue on the upper quadrant that really frightens me. It is so uncouth.

I didn't even know galaxies COULD drink soup. (But that reminds me, we have Mary's dumpling soup in the fridge, I'm gonna get some after this comment.) But anyway, I guess you might be eating primordial soup. You can spill it in the Delta Quadrant, since Voyager's finished with that one, but don't spill any in the Alpha Quadrant, or you'll do a lot of damage to the Federation.

People who use the term quadrant to refer to parts of their body are usually being prepped for surgery.

HelicaseHelio and I were always sitting on the stairs, chatting about the lamina and occasionally making snide remarks about ribosomes. There wasn't much for us to do. Our job was to simply be, and let the RNA scribble down the letters on our foreheads when they came around every once in a while. Helio was a G, I was a C. It wasn't exactly fulfilling, I suppose. There wasn't much to be filled. So to pass the time, we talked.
"You ever wonder?" Helio asked.
