Now forgive me here but..

I apologize in advance for the wrong topic, but I have never so much as browsed the forums, and have no idea how to do any of this so please bear with me for a minute!

I would like to upload a new avatar which is precisely 50x50 px, is 5.39 KB, and is a .PNG.
dA's avatar max is 15KB, so why am I getting the "can't resize to fit blahblahblah" message? It takes forever to load, and then it gives me this stupid message.

How could I fix this? It's starting to get pretty frustrating. :S (especially since is 4 AM.)
