I think the only way you solve something like this is educating everyone about all of the history and let them decide their opinions then. So far, and I don't know whether you see this for you too, people's opinions stem from their parents opinions, which is why you get some really stupid ones sometimes.
I'm mostly hoping the hate gets more diluted and more diluted as time passes through generations. (On a lesser scale here, it'ls like my dad telling me I should be hating on the French, the Welsh and the Americans, but I really don't see the big friggin' deal. I'm hoping that same mentality will stick with the Irish and let bygones be bygones.) What whoever did and when is already done. They should stop being hateful for the past and concentrate on making the future, jeez.
Ireland is better off as it's own sovereignty. Even Scotland is going to have a referendum on leaving the UK. However, I do know that taking back N.I, will break us. This guy is a moron. Punch him in the face. =B
Yeah, I'd feel kind of mixed myself about the idea of uniting with the north given that we're still in the aftermath of the Troubles (or the worst of it at least), but this guy clearly doesn't have his brain anywhere else then in his pants. :L
I like Ireland, I'm british and i lived there for several years. I would have a few serious things to say though about how Irish people treat british people who work there! But all the same i liked it there despite the racism. If ireland was to be re-unified i couldn't care less wether it was as an autonomous country or under the UK so long as the stupid fighting in NI stops.
