Because of the Red Army giving the wrong figures for Jews at first. Then there was propaganda going around from the US (being gassed and being made into soap bars from the remains) so.. idk I guess that's why :c
You have to remember in those days, no one would have cared much for any of them. Some gay people still had to serve their 'sentence' even after the war was over. People know more about it these days though (:
I do find it quite interesting how we only ever think of the Jews when it comes to the Holocaust since, you know, NOBODY in Europe wanted them around. (I know there were minute exceptions, but my point still stands.) In fact, many countries willingly handed over their Jews to the Germans because they believed the Nazis were doing them a favour by taking them away. They just never really realised exactly what the Nazis were doing until late in the game. I guess they felt guilty then? As for the other minorities that suffered in the Holocaust, there's reasons behind every single one of them, but who cares because they're not long sufferers like the Jews boohoo.

I've never heard of blacks killed in it, but yes there were others, and I don't think that even totalled 6 million. Everyone is "people too" so the same argument there can go for the allies who brutalised Germans they caught. War is nasty, mkay.
