We don't have snow in Australia...except where we do.

Here, where I live, in Melbourne, the last time it snowed I would have been like 9 or 10 or something. I'm 27.

Here, for Christmas, we have heat. Hot, horrible heat. Often fires, too. Never good.

We also get huge hail and thunderstorms and flooding.

We're Melbourne. We're fucked up like that.

I don't like the heat. Give me cold.

You could always move up to Wisconsin. We'd love to have ya here. ;)
I'm sure this state would satisfy your temperature requirements.

I study Australian wildlife all the time.

Cracked.com has told me so.

My favorite Australian animal is the flap-footed lizard, Pygopus.
Does this make me boring?

I think a lot of the Australian wildlife would be unhappy if it suddenly got as cold there as it is over here.

Hmm... We're having -20 celsiuls, or -4 fahrenheit, or 253.15 kelvin, if you'd like.
I've been denied staying outside for longer by my mom, because my cheeks were getting white spots...

I totally agree with you, heat sucks, but I hope you realize that cold is more than pretty snow.

True that. But honestly, the air is sort of clear here all the year round.

Ah, I see. It gets VERY humid and hazy here in the summer, so I try to appreciate winter even if my fingers are freezing off.

Aah, well, technically it's lethal to swim in the ocean/fjords here even at the warmest time of summer.
So calling it summer is an overstatement, really.
Reply
:iconshininginthedarkness:
Hm, is it worse to have an ocean and not be able to swim in it, or to not have an ocean at all?
That's one of those deep questions.

Oh, we still swim in it. It's technically lethal, but I don't think many people die.
Quite a few don't care that the summer is over either, they just continue to swim.
