When I was 11 my parents said I couldn't watch the Simpsons because there was an episode where Santa's Little Helper ate a bug and it was too gross. Earlier, I was also not allowed to watch Jem because she had pink hair and was a bad role model.
Sadly, despite their best efforts, I grew up to be outrageous.
I guess I got lucky with my parents. They allowed me to watch south park when I was about 11. The worst thing I've ever watched was Super Jail on Adult Swim. Or maybe Forensic Files since it discusses the worst of humanity. And my favorite shows include American Dad, South Park and the uncut DBZ back in it's Toonami prime while me and my parents enjoy The Walking Dead.
As a quote from future Timmy from FOP: "Now that show I remember. It was violent and stupid. Which is why I watched it every day."
But I hear ya. I have many friends who are belittled by their parents about what they can and cant watch. Back when one of my friends was a kid, his step dad strictly allowed him to only be able to watch the Disney channel. And since his mom is highly religiousn, she wouldnt argue against it.
Yeah, I should just watch this stuff online. :v It's weird though, I wasn't originally watching it, I just exited out of the DVR and that's what channel it was on, then I became interested in the case. I wasn't even planning on watching the whole episode anyway.
