I guess I've been quite cheery
But today my mind has given up
And left me feeling weary
I usually use my way with words
To hash out my frustrations
So when writer's block gives me a bitch-slap
It rocks my poor foundations
I've had six coffees, two Red Bulls
A pack of cigarettes
(At two o' clock in the afternoon
I feel I can't drink yet)
These tried-and-tested tools of thought
For once are no avail
As soon as I lift my pen from the desk
My fervour falters, fails
So here I am, I've come to whine
I lack what I value most
And I can't even get the meter right
On a fucking forum post.
