I'd say it's a matter of what you think they will judge you on. A few great pieces with a few crappy could be better than someone with a mediocre portfolio through and through, but if they favor someone with a more stable one you're screwed. You just have to make the call. What did your portfolio look like the last time? You have one thing on your side, and that is that you can show improvement from the last time. Try to empazise that and it might work out.
I've been very careful with my tangents with the new stuff. That's definitely an improvement.
I think they actually do favor people on their second turns if they show they've been working and I got really close last time. It's just a last minute freak out. But after tomorrow, no more worries for me!
I need 10 pieces and a creative exercise. This is my second try, and I talked about the problems with the head of the department. I don't want to resubmit stuff that we talked about without improving them, but I'm stuck.
I'm tempted to just turn in 9 pieces that I know are at least pretty strong.
Oh, all of them fit what is asked for. It's just that some are not very strong in color choice or composition or something like that. Although, I am using a lot more animals this go around. I need human figures....
It's s u p e r competitive here and I've already been rejected once out of two chances. See why I'm freaking out? I really oughta just go to bed. I do have tomorrow. I know I'll be ok. It's not the end of the world even if I don't make it in.
