I'm currently in the college life again! And it's going swell this semester. So far, no complaints. Anywho, the main topic.
I was recently in the main plaza of the college, just looking around. I decided to pop by the library, because they had been cleaning it up some over the summer. And by jove they had; it's very pristine, the windows make the sun light it up just fine and there plenty of nice nooks for researching or reading.
The second floor was much better, plenty of sofas and couches were about, and there were plugs for the laptop-lovers as well. I liked it. Very nice. Now the disappointment.
Last night I had my pizza in the oven. I was busy skype IMing a friend at 1AM. Lost track of time due to that, and I suffered. It burned. When things burn, things make smoke. Smoke starts fire alarms. Now, the god damn fool who installed the fire alarms in this room put two right next to each other. Why the fresh hell does an already small room need two fire alarms back to back. Why.
They were both going off and since I'm just a short person, I had to use a chair to grab at them. With all the ruckus they made, I probably woke the neighbors up. Thankfully, no complaints made it to me, so perhaps not.
Oh, I loved the library at my university. It was so cool. When they wanted to build an expansion for it they just built a new facade and kept the original facade intact inside. It's so awesome. I loved going to the top floor and hiding myself away in one of the study carrels in back. It was so nice and peaceful and excellent for getting work done.

I ended up eating burned pizza.
