It's tomorrow, but the shows have been on TV for about 3 days now. It was a terrible thing and I really feel sympathetic to the families that lost their loved ones and jobs because of it... but it's been eleven years. Grieving is healthy, I get that, but I don't think it should be going on this long. It isn't healthy anymore to relive this over and over again.
It just seems... too much now. You can't rebuild if you keep reminding the public over and over again what we /lost./

P.S. Sorry for crowding the forums, I'm curious now.
9/11 was a horror. It happened. Remembering it is not bad. It's like remembering pearl harbour, and we all know how long ago THAT happened. I just hate how people blow out out of proportion. Pick and and move on, you know? If we keep dwelling on it, we're never going to progress. I honestly thought that by now new buildings would be put in those empty spaces.
I believe there's a statistic out there that claims that the events of 9/11 will hardly be known by the year 2043. I believe a portion of people relive it to remember loved ones or compete strangers. The others may still relive it because they know how easy it is to forget a person once they're gone, let alone thousands. Also, it just kind of unites Americans in a state of common humanity.
9-11 was terrible, a lot of people died in the disaster, including some Military people, as I hear. They grieve it every year because of the many deaths.
I am not American, but as long as I live in the USA, I will never forget.
9/11 was a terrible event for our country, and we have every right to pay respects for the dead but I happen to agree with you, I feel like at this point it is taken too far. How are people suppose to heal from that when we keep on being reminded year after year with big events surrounding it and news channels broadcasting the entire thing as if it happened all over again?
I seriously doubt any one of us who saw it in person, or on the television will forget that day. Why keep bringing up a terrible memory when we are trying to rebuild what is left from the ashes? I just don't understand it.
Also if people think about it we are letting the enemy (or potential future enemies) win by showing we don't have the courage nor will to move on despite this tragedy.
Anyhow that is my two cents. As I've told some of my friends who can't move on from it, never forget but never let this consume you.
