So...exactly how much can I get away with on this site?

Self harm? Okay. Hate speech? A-okay. Gore art? A-okay. Penetration? A-okay. That....whatever that :iconprosaix: found? A-Okay. Stolen art? A-Okay.

Seriously, I could have sworn all of these things were against the rules of DA. In fact, as I look in the help section and the rules, I'm finding that they are. So this actually strikes me as pretty fucking funny.

Whichever staff members are running the Help Desk these days have become jaded, uncaring and lackadaisical.

What the fuck is the point of having the ability to report deviations or deviants for breaking the rules, harassment and copyright infringement if you just don't give a shit, staff?

So, tell me. How much can I get away with? Should I start testing the waters? What kind of horrible, obscene art can I create and submit without so much as a slap on the wrist twenty thousand months later when they finally get to the report? Why have the AUP if you don't give a shit about it? Especially for the sake of the artists getting their art stolen or having to see dead bodies and shit?

:icontealdeerplz: Bitch, bitch, bitch, moan GET IT TOGETHER, DA.

I was just searching to see how much gore you could get away with before you have to filter it as gore is a little blood fine or is it not fine? I think when you are submiting it should have a clear guidelines of what has to be in it to class it as gore or nudity or anything else like that. Ofcourse posting pictures of actual dead people or real bodily harm is to far.

If any of you could take a look and tell me if my drawing should be filtered or not I would appreciate it. I classed my drawing under gore because I didn't want to upset anyone by mistake. Before any of you look its a chibi character holding a knife with some blood on it so if your sensitive to any kind of gore (even unrealistic gore) I would suggest not looking [link]

Found it...and they have not taken it off or asked her to filter it. The bra and panties combo should be banned for a start! [link]

I've reported quite a few pictures as they get posted on 'Smurf' and some have been nothing more than women in sexual poses and the only reason they put it in 'Smurf' was because they had Smurf knickers on. That section is frequented by younger people and the person concerned had not even put any 'filters' on her so called work.
And yes she had lots of fans...mostly men who seemed to want her to undress more and more

Hmm...I think they should edit the rules so that one can not foment rebellion or revolution on DA just saying.

Yeah, we have the porn photos even with safe search on this site.
You have the inflationist fetishers
You have the vore/feedies
You have the exploding body persons.
You have necrophilia.
You have the yaio/yuri/shoen-shogo ai art etc.
You have neo-nazi fantasists or other crazy radical inspiration on here.
You have the blue-berry fetishers (aka Blueberry Girl.)
You have people who steal or morph others art.
You have really really bad art on here.
You have some people on here who actually work with the sex industry.
You have person's who are into bestiality.
Whatever philia or phobia is represented in here in disproportionate numbers.
I will say this honestly though DA is relatively clean compared to Tumblr and Pixiv or other Art Sites.

I actually have had to save a person from committing suicide through DA. (Literally.)

So yeah, the rules need to be changed and stricter...and form of censure does need to be in place. If you want to post the SMUT or PORN...go to some anime/manga/fetisher site which is much more loose on what you can post.

I mean its a bit disappointing to see some of these "artists" who are wasting their time and effort to do things that don't really benefit them at all, or triple posting their work on here, after posting it on a site that they are a member of and uses membership passwords and etc.

I mean I find it funny that I am an artist with nearly 4000 deviations...and almost no radar pip...compared to Joe Smoe posting Smut junk all over the place.

I have to agree with this, what we need is a more strict acceptance system. But that's my opinion. c:

The problem is that art is quite a broad term, what one considers art another considers junk. Just look at van gogh for example.

But I certainly agree that there are accounts that don't really seem to be uploading art, but rather looks like they're using it as a image uploading site.

It's nice to know someone agrees. :la:

I do know a guy who posted scat artwork a couple of months ago, barely no one seemed to say: "This is against the rules." Which was kinda sad. :saddummy:
