I went looking through newest to give some comments and critiques and came across this piece:
[link]

As they actually asked for a critique I said sure, okay I'll do one. I knew my words were gonna be a little harsh because there are a lot of things wrong, but it wasn't especially nasty.

I did it, took me a while and it was declined because:

"Critique rejected as "Inflammatory""

I mean what the fuck does that mean anyway.

Link to critique:

Tl;dr ( really?! ) don't post art asking for critiques if your gonna fucking decline it. Morons.

Also have had a lot of fun with a few other imbeciles who think taking a photo of their arse in stupid tights and then blurring it to death is "art".

Anti complaint ( as I was told to do one of these last time! O: ) I got some monies from doing a wedding photography and now I'm almost not in the minuses. Yay!

People don't want crits, they just want people to tell them how AWESOME and SPECHIULE (sic) they are. Pissed me off as well.

Many use the critique option as a way to get even more attention.
If you say that you want to be critiqued, expect same. Regardless of content.

If you cannot stand critique, DON'T ASK FOR IT!

I still get people who go OMG YOU WERE MEAN, I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO TELL ME I WAS AWESOME. Remove critique and block

Me too. I had one of these lately. He asked for a honest evaluation of his works and got one from me. My comment was gone faster than I could blink.
May people say "critique me" when realy they want to say "help me inflate my ego to the size of the sun!". They should just let it be.

Its very obnoxious. I actually leave critiques about a week, so I can buck up and get over the OMG I WORKED REALLY HARD time and go right, now how can I improve.

Its just such a waste of my time.

I honestly think that DA is not the right place to give or get criticism anyways. There just too many people on this site that can't handle it in a mature way.
I gave up on leaving constructive criticism long ago, for same reasons.

Yeah I go to concept art when I need to be pushed though it really is that type of area where I get frustrated that I just feel so crap. So I have to do it when I'm being brave :P

Im on a similar art website where criticism is more of a desireable thing than here.

However, do you have any idea why so many people react so sensitive to criticism? I mean everyone with a pasion for art would look for advice to expres themselves better, right? So why are so many "self proclaimed" artists so whiny about it?

Iunno, its quite pathetic. I mean, I get it, it sucks when you spend a week on a painting to be told its crap, but on concept org I got ripped into one painting so much that it tripled in how good it was. Its still a bad piece, but it did triple.

What site do you go onto, by the way?
