True. But... What the hell is anyone expecting from this forum? It's not going to sprout wings or turn into a turnip. Nor are the people within this forum going to start being all sunshine and rainbows and loving people.

Did you really just equate suicide and deactivation?

I thought I had thin skin, but the more I've been around the forums I can see that I have thicker skin then I thought I had.

There needs to be a internet behavior class in schools these days. It only makes sense seeing how much the internet dominates our social lives.
Kids needs to be taught how they shouldn't take words on a screen so seriously, not be so trusting with strangers and not put every detail of your personal lives out there for the world to see.
There are times when people ask for it and times when they're not. Either way, they need to be taught how to deal with these situations and learn to examine them before crying their butts off.

I agree 100%. People are far too trusting online. I've been online since 1996, and was drilled then how not to trust someone online. People can be whoever they want and once something's posted online, good luck getting it down.

I'm always given crap for using a fake name on Facebook and not having real information on there. I know how easily one can stalk another and I choose to be proactive and protect myself. Too bad those who willingly put up their names and phone numbers don't have a clue.

I don't disagree. I only keep the account because activities are organized through it more often than via text messaging. Otherwise I'd have ditched it long ago
