People imply that catcalls, rude comments, and harassment just go away by lengthening your skirt or shorts and buttoning up your shirt. Fact: If they're catcalling, they don't care what you're wearing. They're a pig, and pigs oink. Pigcalling?

I've been threatened, catcalled at and groped in a sweater and jeans.

People shouldn't have to change what they wear to make other people stop being assholes. Will it help? In most cases, no. It's not their fault they're getting attacked, and in my experience, dressing differently got me more negative attention by the three boys that followed me. My stepdad made my elder brother walk with me to school it got so bad. Did they mess with me when a football player was walking with me? Nope. It's about power and making your social cock bigger, not how the person is dressed.

The times when I got whistled at, I just turned around, smiled and gave them a acknowledging nod. That always gets them to stop. I don't really know why, but hey, it works. =D

I have to agree. I'm pretty damn ugly + always dress in jeans and usually a men's t-shirt or a jacket/hoodie and I STILL get catcalls and guys hitting on me :stare:.
Seriously this shit exist because some men have no respect for women not because women dress in a certain way.

Yeah, after being followed around by men in vans and having men crawl into my hotel bed and think its okay because they're an acquaintance at school, I wholeheartedly agree with this thread. It has nothing to do with clothes at all. Most of the times when I'm being harassed, its when I'm dressed in really casual clothes and covered up.
