People imply that catcalls, rude comments, and harassment just go away by lengthening your skirt or shorts and buttoning up your shirt. Fact: If they're catcalling, they don't care what you're wearing. They're a pig, and pigs oink. Pigcalling?

I've been threatened, catcalled at and groped in a sweater and jeans.

People shouldn't have to change what they wear to make other people stop being assholes. Will it help? In most cases, no. It's not their fault they're getting attacked, and in my experience, dressing differently got me more negative attention by the three boys that followed me. My stepdad made my elder brother walk with me to school it got so bad. Did they mess with me when a football player was walking with me? Nope. It's about power and making your social cock bigger, not how the person is dressed.

That's funny. Usually the attention I get is a perfectly fine conversation with a guy. Strangers too.

I think that's because I normally carry very sharp coloured pencils and they're afraid that I'll stab them to death. ;D

Pssh, you better believe it's your fault. If I was in your shoes, and a women, I would just do the obvious. And that would be to walk around in a cardboard box. Problem solved.

The world is barbaric. With each generation that passes the civilized gentlemen die out. We are a dying breed selectively choosing our ladies. So, since we are waiting for a worthy women, all the uneducated, illiterate, social barbarians are reproducing like rabbits. If only the government would enable a system where you had to have a certain IQ to have children.

The world would be a much safer place... Or at the least allow the hospital to sterilize. The people that come walking into our ER.

Unless of course, you are just joking and commenting late at night was a bad idea as sarcasm may have flown right over my head. Then I do apologize.

LOL WOW

I know this is coming from the same person that was shocked to find that women swear, but please tell me you're joking on this one.

"With each generation that passes the civilized gentlemen die out. We are a dying breed selectively choosing our ladies" and you think it's their fault? What a self-proclaimed catch you are. God, look at the ego-stroking bullshit you just typed.

It's not about the way you dress, it's about vulnerability. You can dress in the most poorly-fashioned, conservative clothes possible and still get cat-called if you appear vulnerable. If you weren't feeding yourself the delusion that you're not the uneducated social dumbass type of man that you just described maybe you would get that saying it's "their fault" when a woman is being cat-called is disgusting.

"If only the government would enable a system where you had to have a certain IQ to have children." Golly, I wonder who this would apply to.

Ehh, a bit of both. Though I do wish we would stop misunderstanding each other. But yes, I am the guy that found it a little appalling for such a colorful vocabulary to come from a female. Sheltered, perhaps. With all my studies, I don't exactly have a flourishing social life. But have faith, sooner or later I'll have my degree and can support a family! Then I'll start dating. And learn the hard way >.<'

I was entirely insulting men. What I meant was, that those of us with manners (the men) are becoming more and more endangered. Though this applies to everyone, of all genders and orientations... As the world is becoming dumber.

The cardboard box as a complete joke. I got a tiny giggle from it. There was no ego in my statement, more remorse than anything. Well, ego no. But I am rather proud of myself for the way I turned out. XD

I think you misunderstood, as you said with your second post, but I don't find it the fault of the women who get attention. Well, if they're dressed for it then yes. You can't really blame a guy if they're skirt counts for a belt. At least not these men of today.

Oh, a last point. As with my last suggestion, about neutering, I was referring to guys mainly as they're the majority that find their way into the ER for stupid, stupid things. Though there was this one girl at her sorority house who slid down a banister and shattered her pelvis. I would nominate that girl, worst call... EVER.

It's not that you're a bad person and admittedly I may have been a little harsh not just with that reply in general but also by bringing up that dumbassery from ages ago every time I see you (I'm going to stop doing that), but "You can't really blame a guy" Yes, you can. "New men of today" bullshit or not, they're to blame for making someone who wants to wear what she wants and possibly be left alone while doing so aware of their sexual urges. :|

Oh I agree. But what I meant is if a girl walks around in a bikini with a very attractive body, it seems like she would be more interested in the men than fashion.

But in the end it's still the same. From the perspective of the thread, we men as a hole has rather gone down hill when it comes to manners. Then again, as sexual urges are coming sooner and sooner... I think the world is just turning into sex. At this rate it won't be long before everyone is raping each other. O.o

Or the heat. Remember, women like to stay cool in sweltering summers just as much as men.

Oh it's you again.

Now you're just trying to hard. In my example I never mentioned anything about heat. Or summer.

I didn't think I needed to be blunt. My point was that if a lady looks like a hooker, she probably is looking for something. It's a tiny irrelevant point, so let's just leave it at this.
