that is not.... a real name

So I'm looking to name the stray kitten I rescued about a week ago and I've been skimming sites for baby names since those are often more helpful than pet name sites, and I'm not into names like "Fluffy" and "Skittles" anyway. The kitten is half tabby and half calico, so she's a mix of orange, black and white. Combined with Halloween being my favorite holiday, I'm looking for spooky themed names for her. Makes sense right? Right.

Wrong, because some of these names baffle me. I know I'm looking for a good name for a cat, but remember these are HUMAN CHILD name lists. What names do I see? Oh some good ones like Hannibal and Wednesday.

Then I see Leaf.

LEAF.

WHO IN THE ENTIRE WORLD IS NAMED LEAF? Along with Igor and Morticia. Is anybody even named Morticia in the real world??? Yes this is my son Igor, I named him that because I want him to kill himself. Really.

On a funny note though, I looked up some ugly pet names just for fun, and while a few of them were kind of cute like "One-eyed" and "Frizzy", there were others that just made me laugh. "Disfigured" and "Hideous" and "Floor-Wipe"

I feel like maybe perhaps those owners might not like their cats so much. Although I love my other cat and we call her an ugly slimy alien all the time. My mom gets pretty creative and calls her things like "Celery-breath" and "Tweezer-face" and "Maggot-mouth."

ps if anybody has good suggestions for my cat let me know.

I need to name her before her name permanently becomes "kitty" or "ouch don't bite me so hard."
