It's supposed to go like this:

1. Your phone rings.
2. You pick up and say "This is name."
3. Person who called says who they are, why they called, etc.
4. Whatever it all leads to.

or:

1. You call someone.
2. They pick up and say their name.
3. You say who you are, why you called, etc.
4. Whatever it all leads to.

It is not supposed to go like this:

1. Your phone rings.
2. You pick up and remain completely silent, prompting "Hello?" because the caller is unsure you're paying attention or who the fuck answered the phone in the first place.
3. You then have the nerve to sound annoyed that the caller hasn't read your meagre mind.
4. Whatever it all leads to.

or:

1. You call someone.
2. They pick up and say their name.
3. You say nothing. It is, after all, up to whomever you called to guess who you are, and why you called. Right?
4. You then have the nerve to sound annoyed that the they haven't read your meagre mind, when they ask simple questions to help things along.
5. Whatever it all leads to.

Fucking idiots I deal with on a daily basis... :iconfacepalmplz:

A good thing that I don't own a house phone. Then again, I get telemarketers on my cell every now and then. :|

I do the same, except they keep calling back every three hours.
I only wish there was a way to completely block 'em. :|

Maybe get your provider to block the number they're calling from?

Apart from that, I think the law is (here anyway) that if you tell them never to call again, they're not allowed.

This is why I never answer my home phone. If someone wants to contact me, they can call my cell.

I hate answering the phone at the house/my mobile because I get all confused and answer "Hello, ------- Youth Project. How may I help you?"
I think it's a sign I work far too much....
