What is it with kids labeling themselves as "crazy or insane"

And I don't mean the do crazy or insane things crazy. I'm talking about them labeling themselves as literally crazy or insane. I, being diagnosed with Major Depression and Bipolar with psychotic features, this really pisses me off.

Just because your mom and dad make you angry, you like to wear black and enjoy horror movies does not put you in the category of being insane.

Anyone else agree, or am I just over-reacting?

Ok, I'm done.

GEEZ, finally someone understands me. No, no seriously. I'm really sorry for you you got serious issues and I wish you all the best on your way to handle them, but I have to thank you sooo much for being upset about those stupid stupid ass kids, too.

I'm upset about those fuckers and buggers since sooo many years and they just won't stop.
Seriously, those stupid stupid ass pple (most times they're under the age of 25) are soooooooo annoying.

Those pple are often seen in the following categories/social groups:

EMOs, Goth/Metalheads, Chat- Roleplayers, kids with broken homes, pple with an IQ below 110 points, young women who were ever kicked out by their boyfriends or best-frendZ-forebboooor, young women addicted to make up, young women with daddy issues/electra complex, pple who enjoy "horror" (actually more splatter) movies, pseudo-lesbians, pseudo-anarchists (pseudo because in both cases they're not "real" and honest the way they act for so many reasons[=stupidity]), young pple with too much money given by their parents, young women taking drugs, narcisstic pple whom still can't reach their level of "awesome perfectness!".

And last but not least, simply some pple just "claiming" themselves as crazy for FUN, BOREDOM or for attention whoring.

But often a person who believe they're "crazy" or even "insane" is considered to be in 3 or more categories from above.

GEEEEEEZ.
They have NO idea what it really means being sick, being "crazy" or "insane", or to have serious mental issues.
Everytime I see/talk to/or read about/with them, I want to punch "something" but I rather try to ignore their stupid comments.

Sometimes, when I feel really like a rebellion defending the innocent and their common sense, I try to inform those stupid people in a more or less NICELY way they're talking/acting just STUPID, CHILDISH and seriously need to STFU, including visiting a doctor...

Some children like myself do call themselves crazy, but in a joke-y way in the idea that we do things that may be considered slightly strange or abnormal. But kids saying that they're crazy enough to be diagnosed with it is rather annoying, too much exaggeration!

Although overall I think that nobody can be considered perfectly 'normal'. We all have our little strange things about us.

What is with the doctors labeling everyone as "crazy or insane"?

Also, having mental problems is cool. Kids feel like they're special and can play victims whenever they want.

Yeah you're overreacting. They're stupid kids, they do stupid things because they don't have experiences beyond their little house in the suburbs. They'll grow out of it.

Mostly because they desire attention from everyone. I once did the same, but now I feel like that was an embarrassing mistake. ;P

When I was a tween... age 12-14, I did these things... self-diagnosed myself with diseases I found on the internet, always had to start drama or be in drama. Labeled myself as WeIrD and CrAAAAAzY and cut my wrists to fit in and was all emo and sad and dark.

Then I grew up.

it maybe that they think they are special in some way by labeling themselves; different and have a warrant for attention.

Crazy just means strange, which is what a lot of these teenagers are. Insanity is different as that can only be determined by a doctor.

Teenagers just don't know the difference as these words have been used interchangeably for a long time.
