So called "Long distance" relationships

:iconexoticjackal:
Like those couples who live across town from eachother and could see eachother every weekend, every DAY if they would get off their lazy asses?
The ones who live in the same freaking STATE and could still EASILY see their partner every freaking weekend.
._. Does this irritate anyone else? Or am I just baised considering I'm in an ACTUAL LDR and my partner lives 2000+ miles away from me?

My boyfriend lives a 30 minute bus ride from me. I see him every weekend and sometimes during the week as well. Just felt like I had to brag amongst all of these sad +2000 miles distance relationship users.:strip:

I've had a few LDRs where I couldn't see the other person. One was across town. Not "long" distance, but far enough to make it unmanageable for us, with gas, and the fact that we both had a job and went to school as well, to see each other often...means hardly any time or money to go anywhere, much less figure out a day you both have, that you can both afford to spend a bunch of money on, just to see each other for an hour, cry, and go home to be alone again. Doesn't mean it wasn't a LDR or any less real than anyone else's relationships. Living in the same state doesn't really mean anything. And I doubt you know everything there is to know about the situation you're annoyed at, so there probably is a reason they can't see each other all the time.

Also--and I really, rarely comment, much less to point out dumbassery, but...you're a dumbass. My last LDR, which ended in him moving here to be with me (and is still living here, trolololo), was 2000+ miles away. My roommate at the time had a boyfriend across town. Omg, liek she culd TTLY see him ALL the time rite? what a dumb bitch for not doing that! Except she couldn't afford it, and HE didn't have a bunch of spare money to pay for gas, and SHE couldn't afford to miss any of her part time job or college work to run off and see him every weekend (although she tried).
When my boyfriend didn't live here, she tried really hard to not be sad because hey, mine was farther away! But I'm not a total asshole, which is why I never told her she COULDN'T be in pain because mine was farther away. I was there when she was down about it and consoled her even though I could have been going "Shut up, at least you see yours SOMETIME EVER, you're a horrid person omg." Of course she hurt. She couldn't see the guy she loved. I couldn't see mine either. BUT OF COURSE MY PAIN WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN HERS CUZ MY BF WAS 2000 MILES AWAY! I knew it the whoooole time guiz, I was just playin. With this new found knowledge I shall spread my dickery across the land. And it shall be glorious.

If we're going to play a game of pointscoring, I live on the moon. My head's in the clouds anyway. Imaginationland is just too far away from earth. :c
