i'm not here to make friends, i don't care if anyone here likes me or not, it doesn't really affect me, what i do care about is being harassed by staff and having the staff be rude to me, i will NOT pay my hard earned money to a site which cares nothing for me, and treats me as poorly as i've been treated here.

deviantART continues to commit itself to responding to the creative outlet needs of its members, releasing and revamping categories as interest grows. [link]

oh, and let's not forget this gem: My position as Director of Artist Relations also places me in the position of manager of the Policy Violation Administrators and the other tasks related to insuring that deviantART remains a place where members are free to express themselves without undue censorship or unwarranted restriction, free from copyright infringment, plagerism, discrimination, prejudice or abuse.

right, my four pictures that were deleted had no artistic merit to them, they were offensive
and had to be deleted, the help desk can't be bothered to reply to me on them, gee, it's only been 3 days, sorry, i'm sure they're too busy answering inquiries from other confused artists wondering why the post nazis deleted their stuff...

i liked this picture so much, i wanted my own version of it, but i felt i could take a better shot (better in my eyes) with a model who was physically a bit different, and i liked the results (after photoshopping) so much that i posted 3 different versions of it....

ALL OF WHICH were deleted not more than FIVE MINUTES after they were posted....

and they were composed and processed almost EXACTLY like this shot, with just minor differences in the subjects of the pictures, and actually, MY pictures showed LESS of the genitals than this one does.... [link]

yet this picture has been up for almost 2 years.... mine were gone in 5 minutes...

and i know the first picture that was deleted last week wasn't eleted by the tier admin, it was deleted by another admin from some other category, why are admin stepping on each other's toes like that? i think that's a pretty rude way for staff to act towards each other

one of my pictures was called "a picture taken with a crappy camera and flash" well, that admin was sure in the know, the picture was taken with a $300 SLR camera and no flash..

unlike this picture which was taken with a flash and apparently has a lot more artistic merit: [link]

gratuitous genitalia? right, now i love and respect woodeye, i've chatted with him before on other issues but gee... this seems a little gratuitous to me: [link]

oOoOoOoOoooo there's a vagina in this picture too, just hangin out there.. that's offensive: [link]

wow, this one is super close up! just like my first picture which they deleted as being gratuitous.... i guess the coffee bean negates the fact that it's just a large picture of a vagina [link]

oh no, look out! here's another gratuitous genitalia shot, and this one implies bestiality!!
[link]

here's another one, one of my B&W pictures was a shot from the neck down.... much like this one, except the model was more centered: [link]

i've paid to support this site because i thought they ideals behind it were great, well, little did i know that no one here had read their own agreement, especially the "undue censorship" part, it seems there's a double standard... click the links below to see, now i mean no harm against the photographers who's pictures are listed below, as a matter of fact, all of the deviations below are on my favorites list, and the artists for the most part are on my watch list...

i am a paying customer and as such deviantart, inc. has a responsibility to me. unlike what certain admin say, the subscription fee is *not* a "donation" it says so on the receipt they emailed me, and even if they are not a true corporation (as the "inc." implies) by claiming they are, they are comitting fraud, and yes, they claim as much when the deviantart.com domain was registered...

and jark can claim he's from wherever he wants to be from in the world, i think it says china or something on his info, but DA.com is regestered and hosted in the US and therefore falls under US jurisdiction.

i'm not looking for special treatment, i'm looking for equal treatment, and at least some respect due any person.

i don't need admin noting me or replying to posts with snide comments...

and i'm not supporting this site with my hard earned money if i'm not going to have those expectations met, and i'm posting this in the public forum because i want to encourage all the non subscribers to really consider whether they want to spend their hard earned money as well.

Policies on Deviations containing Nudity
deviantART does not condone the uploading of pornographic materials to its database. However, we recognize that the human form is one of the oldest artistic expressions, and allow nudity if it is central to the statement of the artist. The following guidelines shall be used to determine whether a deviation containing nudity will remain in the deviantART gallery:
Is the submitter the original author of the piece, or does the work contain copy written material for which the deviant has not received permission, and has failed to manipulate to a necessary degree as to not infringe on copyright law?
Does the submission explicitly depict sexual acts?
Is the individual depicted over the age of 18?
Is the deviation done in good taste?
Should the staff deem the work to fail any of these rules, we reserve the right to remove the work without notifying the artist. Good taste, as with all art galleries, falls squarely within the views of the administrators of this site.
Once a deviation is determined to violate policy, it is immediately removed from the gallery. Notification of its removal will be sent via the deviantART notes system. Submitting the same piece again or similar material will result in immediate removal and potentially banishment from the community.

And your subscription fee is non-refundable.

:iconinerlogic:
wow, you really took the time to read that and follow the links didn't you? no, you just glanced over it and copied from the same FAQ the admin do... you're a sheep
:iconrenonevada:
Actually I did read the thing and click the links, ass. What I don't have is a link to your picture so it's not like I can compare the images.

It's all about taste and quality of the picture when it's dealing with genitalia. MOST photo's of the vagina are deleted but a few, like the ones you listed, were kept because they were very artsy and well done. I have also seen a few that were deleted that showed about that much that were by very prominant artists, but they went just a bit too far.

DA is not a democracy, it's a private site. The admins have the power to remove anything that is deemed to go against policy in their eyes AND YOU AGREED TO THAT WHEN YOU SIGNED UP! If you didn't read the submissions agreement it's your own fault. Don't come crying to the forums that something you posted was deleted and expect everyone to coddle you. If it was deleted it was for a good reason.

And yes, the help staff is bogged down by ignorant asses that can't judge decency for themselves and post innapropriate pictures that had to be deleted. They're also bogged down by people bitching about how the site is screwing up and why their submissions are screwing up. Also if you're help inquiry was just as pointless as this whiny complaint I'm not surprised they just passed you by.

Ah, and I went to your page and saw the link to "peach"... Whether it's art or not isn't in question, but it is against DA's policy and does show more than the other pictures you linked. :fellarectum: and hamburger buns are definitely against policy.

Seriously, no flame here, that picture would be deleted if any of those artists took that shot. It is more than DA allows. If you can work with that limitation you'll have a good time here on DA, otherwise there are some good photography sites that allow more in terms of nude photography.

right, so, they can enforce their policies at will?
having multiple standards for different users, the reason you don't have a link to my images is because they were deleted, but trust me, that "porcelain" pic, and one of mine which were deleted were set up the exact same way, on purpose, because i *knew* that the admins would find mine offensive, yet tehre has been almost the exact same picture on here for almost two years.....

you obviously DIDN'T read the post, because i REALIZE that DA isn't a democracy, and i'm not looking for special treatment, i want EQUAL treatment and i want SET GUIDLINES as to what the policy is, you can't hold someone to an unwritten policy then bash them for violating it, that's just moronic.

i want to be treated like the CUSTOMER and SITE SUPPORTER i am, or, i want my money back....

and yes, according to my state's attorney general's office, my subscription charge IS refundable, no matter what DA admin seem to think, they can THINK whatever they want, that doesn't affect corporate law....

and as for deviantart inc. the AG is also looking into whether they filed for incorporation.

you see, i know corporate law, as does my state's attorney general...

by the way, you get permission from AA Milne and DC Comics and Marvel comics?

you're using some characters that you don't own, that's against DA's policies also you ignorant ass

Some women really need to learn how to shave.

I refuse to wear clothes.tm
:iconinerlogic:
why? so they can buy into some male pedophilic preferences?
there's supposed to be hair down there, and if you like that shaved look, then you belong in jail as michael jackson's cell mate
:iconrenonevada:
On decency of pictures there can't be set rules, there is only opinion of taste.

I read it. Semantics. :|

Customer or not, rules are rules. If Best Buy can refuse to refund you for a dvd you bought then DA can refuse to give you your money. Especially with the childish tantrum you've thrown here and on your page. Speaking as someone who has worked retail, with you as a customer I would have called for security with the behavior you've shown and banned you from the store.

Why are you bring my fanart of superman into this? It's allowed thru law, DA's policy and the comic industry approves of it wholeheartedly.

Thank you for looking thru my gallery. :D

:iconinerlogic:
no, best buy can only deny my refund because the MPAA (and the RIAA with CDs) have lobied copyright laws to include provisions where media such as movies and cds can only be returned if UNOPENED, otherwise, if opened, they can only be exchanged for the same title if defective..

your analogy isn't the same
:iconrenonevada:
Once service is rendered, it can not be refunded. How about that? You have been enjoying the benefits of being a subscriber and just because you feel you have been treated unfairly, and assuredly you weren't, you want your money back.

How about this golden nugget, DA has the right to reprint your works, royalty free, without your approval or knowledge. ;)
