It must be a recent thing, too, because I'm 13, and I distinctly remember waking up every morning when I was little and watching "Roly Poly Olie". If you don't remember that, amybe this will jog your memory: [link] It may look really stupid, but hat show was fairly intelligent. It taught kids valuable lessons in a language they could understand, but wasn't so stupid to be annoying. Then there was Stanley ([link]) (I could only find it in Spanish, sorry), which was possibly the most educational show of my childhood. I loved it so much.
Now Stanley is gone. And in its place, what are kids from 4 to 8 or so watching? This: [link]
WHAT THE HELL?!
Then there's this, which is slightly more educational, but nowehere near the quality of my childhood programming: [link] PTERODACTYL IS NOT A FUCKING DINOSAUR! But that aside, kids today get this crap: [link] And this: [link] And this: [link]
What are we filling kid's heads with today? Admittedly, I have seen Bunnytown, and it isn't AS horrible. But still... what does this teach? It can be educational and fun! Just look at Stanley! But no... shows today have to either be fun (see Yoko Jakamoko Toto) or educational (see [link]).

While the meek and poor are trampled by the strong, And the hungry men are fodder for the fat, We can taste a bright tomorrow, righting all our wrongs, For we got ourselves a couple silly hats.
It's a TV show now, too. I know several little kids that watch it since I live in a farming community, and when I see them with their little lunchboxes and shirts and crap with that poor, confused cow-creature it makes me shudder.

I know it's sad I never gave a damn about the weather and it never gave a damn about me.
Actually Stanley and Rolie Poly Olie is still around where I live but it doesn't broadcast as much as I remember. I do agree that Bunny Town is pointless and whoever made Harry and his bucket full of dinodicks need to revise what is and isn't a dinosaur.

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
