I don't pay attention to these things. I don't follow the show in the least. But the winning model made it to a little news blurb that made me do a double take

Apparently, she's the first ';plus sized' winner of the competition.

You know, I'm not one to get butthurt over the media's apparent bias against non-stick-figured women; I'm underweight myself, so maybe much of the offensive content just goes right over my head, but how in the HELL is that woman not thin? How does anyone look at her and think ';plus sized'?

She is for modelling. It's a different system. In runway terms, anything over a 6, I think, is plus size. Not like in stores where it's 14W and 22X and such.

If all the plus size models were dripping with fat rolls no one would want to buy plus sized clothes. It's a terrible thing to say (and I apologize) but fat is not good for business. That is why "plus size" in modeling is considered 6-8.
She looks awesome and it's a shame she has to be categorized as such.
