Because I keep coming across blatant policy violations (like depictions of sexual fluids, masturbation, spread labia, and poorly disguised pornography, all of which appears to violate FAQ #565 and #305, I sent a message to the helpdesk:
Your interpretation of the FAQ and policy in question is incorrect.
The images you have pointed out here in fact do not what you believe they show and you are misinterpreting the appearance and purpose of of clothing or the placement of the hands.
The policy has not changed at all; the problem here is that you are misinterpreting the policy and applying your misinterpretation to images rather than the actual policy.
SO we have it folks. Apparently porn IS allowed now, and has always been allowed. The fact that we think things like implied sexual fluids, spread labia, poorly censored/cropped things that would normally be a bannable offence, lesbian sex, "oral to breast contact", and female masturbation are all allowed after all!
Good to know. Now I don't have to pay $20 a month for that porn site, and heck, maybe I'll just upload my porn here since it's entirely within the rules. I'LL BE POPULAR AND I'LL MAKE THEM ALL PRINTS SO I CAN BE RICH SELLING NAKED GIRLS HAVING LOTS OF SEX! YAY!

Not here. Dropping in occasionally, but still, don't consider me back.
I'm not super active, but this just confirms it's not worth renewing a sub here. It's about time I made a personal site for my crap anyway. The art thieft and tracing bother me more than the porn, but why bother having rules in the first place if breaking them is acceptable? To keep up some sort of appearance that they are compliant with certain regulations? That's an interesting road to travel down.

Selling out to Hollywood comes with a price. So does not selling out. Either way, you pay in full, and yes, it invariably hurts like hell.
If you have a problem with it, email one of the Admins directly about it and see if you can't go above the heads of whoever you think is doing their job wrong. Don't go and make yourself look like a jerk just because you didn't get your way.

By pointing out what appears to be a direct corruption in the administration? Seriously. Check out the pictures I reported, and tell me they aren't word-for-word descriptions of what the policy says isn't allowed.

Well, that's shitty. I'm glad I'm over 18, because if any law enforcement catches wind of this, they're either going to force an age limit or shut down the site.
I'm pretty sure that was because he had a link to a porn site in his journal (interestingly enough, it was the porn site where MOST OF HIS PICTURES COME FROM*).
*There's no reason to believe they weren't made by him however (I don't want to wrongly accuse him of plagiarism), because it seems the porn site belongs to him and is for the porn game he's developing.

There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
