People keep animals as companions, unfortunately there's not been a domesticated breed of snake... Doesn't mean this chap didn't have a clue about what he was doing... He may have been an experienced owner, the snake may have been frightened/hungry... Who knows...

I'm watching a documentary about people who hug/kiss sharks... It's their choice...

All pets have an ability (and a "mind") to attack their owners. It's just slightly less terrifying when your pet is a goldfish.

You're... just, wow. Maybe if he was keeping a 25 foot anaconda or a crocodile you could rethink saving him from his pets, but pythons are relatively harmless.
