The annual senior cancer-awareness assembly... thing.

I'm not sure if they do this at every high school, but at our school, they have an assembly every year for the seniors advising them about cancer. At first I thought it was about sex-ed, but if you're heading off to college and you're not yet aware about that sort of thing, there's obviously something wrong. :hmm: But it was about cancer. And the assembly is split by gender; girls learn about breast cancer and guys about testicular cancer.

What do they do to aid everyone in zomgcancer awareness? :omfg:
RUBBER GENITALS. YAY. :iconexcitedplz:

Guys get testicles/ballsacks/tea-bags (the boxes even say "Mini Testicles" and they come in packs of probably 3 or 4) and the girls get boobs. Of course, the senior guys look forward to getting balls and being taught how to feel themselves up, as mentioned by a friend of mine who is a college freshman and had to undergo the same crap last year.


The actual teaching of the whole cancer thing isn't what bothered me, it was the aftermath. :| Which included:

-Annual rubber testicle fight in the commons. Only this year in particular, it was brutal.
-Mobs of seniors, screaming, and waving ballsacks over their heads.
-Seniors with testicles taped to parts of their bodies. (lol "ballchinian")
-Freshmen somehow getting a hold of them.
-The most disturbing part, which is part of the basis of my complaint; the mess of ripped pieces of balls paving the hallways.


The whole day after the assembly was hilarious but at the same time, incredibly horrific. I can't WAIT to be a senior. :roll:


TL;DR: The annual "omgcancer" senior assembly and the distribution of fake genitals disturbs me greatly.

For some reason the girls didn't actually leave with the breasts, but the guys got to keep the packs of balls. :o I'm surprised that didn't happen, last year either.

The only reason why the senior guys actually want to go to the assembly in the first place is to get the fake balls, I'm surprised that nobody has enforced any sort of rule(s), especially since this happens pretty much every year. :hmm:

Like I said, the college freshman I talked to just said that you learned how to feel yourself up, and my senior friendperson said that people just want to go to get free balls, I'm not sure if the whole assembly served it's purpose (for the guys at least). :o
