Y'know what, I don't have a lot of art on this site. That does not mean that I have not produced a sizable quantity of it, merely that I don't have it up here for whatever reason. And I'm sure as fuck not going to put it up to prove a goddamn thing to some idiot, especially when one who thinks art should be separate from politics is using it as if it were a good argument to make against me. Shut up, you've lost once you go down that route. For she has insinuated that because my forum post count is higher than my art count, that I somehow have less of a viable insight. Well, get bent. _{Seriously, I've already argued with a kid who tried to say I couldn't draw becuase I had nothing up--lovely, that right after I posted something she shut the hell up and I never heard from her again. That confrontation is the only reason I have anything up, incidentally.}

DA is not just an art site. It is also a community, believe it or not. And you know what? YES, people express themselves through art. They always have. Please, for the love of God, stick your head in the ground if you don't want to see art influenced by politics, and for Pete's sake, keep away from the 60's. Art is a perfectly viable, normal means of expressing one's opinions.

"If politics is so important to you why don't you have anything up about politics?" The blunt answer would be--well, what the fuck sort of stupid question is that. And anyway I was only arguing that politics are important to art and vice versa--we were not addressing any sort of specific political belief (okay, so the OP posted on their description bitching about political arguing on DA, and about recent issues with China, but that wasn't being addressed with this argument). But it is downright irrelevant whether I have any pieces up like that, personally.

And I would like to interject here, and say to the Jesus freaks sitting next to me, one of whom said "I agree, Jesus didn't die for everybody, God can change his mind," that you're going to get a chopstick stuck in your ear pretty quick if you carry on like this. At least the one sitting across from him is relatively sane. Relatively.
