Nik Mann was told his assault on Stephen Mason in Nuneaton, Warks, in August 2006 was contrary to the aims and ideals of the medical profession.

Seriously. Have you ever, ever read anything that epitomised the phrase "no shit" quite like this? Honest to God I said it before I thought it. Apparently the chap had assaulted his fiance, so in some sense I can empathise, but he got of comparatively lightly for GBH (community service and he keeps his job).
I think I'm complaining because I was so blinded by this massive attack of the obvious that I spilled coffee onto my crotch. That and the fact that trying to reason out the thought process behind releasing a statement like that has caused me additional phyiscal pain.
