Well I started out as the as the worlds worst artist.... and I've come to think that I've grown since I was in my younger years and I owe all my thank to.... artistic critiques. The point is that have artists these days become too proud of their work that they think its perfect or do some of you still accept it even though you've been drawing since you've been in daipers. Or do you hate it when people critique your work or do you hate it when a noob critiques your art... thank you for readin'..

I like critiques. Some are helpful, some "aren't" (it's always helpful to hear something, just some of them either don't make sense to me or couldn't possibly be applied - the former which might just be my fault) - just like all things.

I agree with you, though i hate it when people ask me to draw something for them, i draw it, then they critique the hell out of it and procede to show it off as a masterpeice. I'm like, WTF?
Yup. Critique is essential to improving so of course I'll take it; feel free to rape my work any day. One of the worst things about DA imo is that so many people just post to show off. That being said What truly dislike is when someone asks for critique and when you point something out they freak. I think that some people need to also understand that pointing out what a person succeeded at is also part of the process.
To be honest though I can't entirely agree with the whole "noob" critiquing art thing as being bad. Unless they're absolutely clueless sometimes a second pair of eyes is all someone needs to be able to provide some relevant input.
Critiques are the best type of feedback to get. Not the guff like "Zomgzz dis sucks l0lzz"
But if I get a comment telling me how I can improve, its always helpful. Although I wouldn't be critiquing someone if they didn't want it, some people can be very fragile about it.
I'm usually happy to be critiqued. I do generally check out the critiquer's gallery and see if I think he/she knows what he/she's talking about. Sometimes they tell me to change something that I did specifically because I wanted it that way, in which case I sort of ignore them, but otherwise, yes, I like them.

Yes, I accept critiques. Those that actually try to help, anyway.
As for someone who doesn't have any/has poor artwork critiquing ("noobs" as you put it), I don't really mind unless they were being an ass about it. I'm a firm believer that a person doesn't have to be a cook in order to tell that food tastes bad.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
