Where do you draw the line?
What do you call art or just soft-core porn? (Because I KNOW I have seen that...)
In my eyes, DA isn\'t the place for this kind of art, if you call it that....seems in many cases an excuse to show breasts or naked people. I will admit that some photographs or other art that has nudity is done in such a way that it doesn\'t seem to be an excuse for some one\'s fetishes or like I said, breasts or some such like that.

I am not trying to insult anyone here, I am just saying that perhaps DA isn\'t the best place for it? I know many will not agree with what I say, but I am also tired of people getting \'show time\' in the popular section because of nudity, and not for artwork.

An artistic nude is just that, a nude image. Art, alas, is in the eye of the beholder, making the definition rather broad.

I know what's allowed on dA and what isn't.

But, other than that... I don't see why art can't contain depiction of sex or something "sexually arousing".

People blither about art being a way to express emotion. I think that desire, lust, and the human sex drive are just as valid as anyone else's art focusing on sadness and depression.

Please do insinuate anything sexual from that.

*nods*

Art is expression....
But you can express lust or desire with out being explicit.

If the artist has art in mind rather than just exclusively sex, I think it's art, no matter how explicit it is. Graphic sexuality doesn't just cancel out anything art, like a lot of people have been implying recently~

I've seen some beautiful nudes on DA that you can tell the photographer put time into posing, lighting, etc. I think that is art. But, someone just taking a quick flashy picture of themselves with thier legs spread or thier boobs hanging out is not art to me.

Well, one thing is to see a photo in which a girl is in a rather "arousing" position and another thing is a photo with a girl touching her self. That's porn.
