Okay so I will soon have the funds to upgraded camera, but I need help deciding. I know I want a canon and I want it used because I'm on a budget of 300-400. Lately I been looking in to the powershot G series but am debating between a Dslr and point and shoot. Mind you I am just starting digital photography. So some input would be much appreciated.
If you’re just learning, and money is tight, I think you’re on the right track with the Canon G-series Powershots. They have full manual controls (including manual focusing, which is practically unheard of in a P&S), a hot shoe so you can work with studio lighting if you want, and they shoot in RAW so you can get some familiarity with RAW processing workflows. I’d go for that.
