Minolta 50mm f1.7 advice

Hey everyone I have a Sony a200 and I'm looking getting a Minolta 50mm f1.7 as my first prime. Anyone have any experience with this lens and can show some of your work? I would like to know what it can do.

Feel free to go through my gallery, everything in it that's digital was shot with the 50mm f/1.7, mainly on an a100 body.

It's a decent lens--worth the money, assuming you're getting it for $50 or so. The glass is fairly ... okay, I guess. It's not the sharpest or the dullest lens I've used, kind of middle of the road, but it gets the job done, and it is better than the sony zooms.
