Flatbed scanner maintenance?

ignavius Featured By Owner Nov 4, 2012  Professional Photographer
I have a flatbed scanner that scans Polaroids, medium format film, and 35mm film. I always end up wi dust and dirt on my scans. What's the proper way to clean it?

Don't use rubbing alcohol; it has too much crud in it. I think that using Kimwipes with denatured alcohol is going to be your best bet. Kimwipes are lint free and denatured alcohol evaporates leaving no residue.

Alcohol wipes and then a cotton cloth. Don't use tissues, toiletpaper or papertowel. They leave a residue.
