your opinion: fall folliage, kodak gold or kodak portra

Today, I am going to go out and see what sort of foilage I can capture on film.

Portra 400 or gold 400

gold is warmer, but grainer

portra is truer colors, but finer.

or should I go with ektar 100?

super color saturation?

If there are not any people in the photos, I'd go with Ektar. If there are, I'd go with Portra. Kodak Gold is what I usually use when I've run out of better films or when I am testing a new camera or experimenting.

I've always been more of a Fuji afficionado myself, but Kodak does have a nice warmth to its print films. I’d personally hesitate to use Portra unless you’re going out to shoot during the golden hours. You may find that it will feel a little dull and undersaturated. I think Ektar might be the better choice.
