Photography Tips Anyone?

I know quite a few people are asking for help in photography and I must say I need some help too.
Where should I go, how can I improve, give me as much advice as you want, but I really think I need it.

A little about me: I'm a freshman in high school and right now am using my iphone until I can fix my camera, which has a battery problem.
I am willing to try everything you tell me, so please fire away!

I want honest opinions, thanks. (Don't know why I just put that, but just in case)

Create a folder on your desktop called Inspiration.

Anything that inspires you put in it.

It might be a little obvious, but the best way to improve in photography is to get your gear out. Maybe buy a book or take a course on photography basics so you can get familiar with the hows and whys of photography (i.e "what is depth of field and how do I control" it or "why and when to use manual over shutter priority" etc). After that just hit the streets and have fun with it. Remember that your first 10000 shots will be your worst. :)

look at other photos. find some you really like, and try to copy them. every time you take a photo, look at it. find out what's good and what's bad about it, and ask others what they think. every single time you take a photo, you should be able to look at it and find things that you'd want to change or do differently.
