Hello, fellow photographers and photography enthousiasts!
#projecteducate will be focusing on Architecture Photography in the week of July 9-15 and I would like to hear what you'd like to be done.
This thread is mostly to find out if you have any suggestions on architecture photographers on deviantART you'd like me to interview? Maybe you have questions you'd like to ask someone in particular?
I don't think I'll talk about architecture because people ask for quite a bit to cover for Architecture Photography, but later on I might start a series of "things to see" for various destinations, where I'd most likely write about architecture!
Doesn't need to be that elaborate. For example, it could be a series of weekly journals in this fashion:
Gothic Architecture A movement in which the symbolism and proportion served to emphasize ecclesiastical idiologies and aspirations.
Period 12th - 16th century
Characteristics Ogives, or pointed archs: ogives are the intersecting transverse ribs of arches that establish the surface of a Gothic vault. [Insert deviation thumb illustrating this element] Etc.
I'd agree with both Anoya and Elandria. You could also do some of the most photographed spots (the Eiffel tower, the louver's glass pyramid, the Colosseum ect...) and show how different people photographed it. You could also have a "do and don't" for architectural photography.
The most photographed spots is an interesting idea — I guess I could write articles about that in the future! As for "do & don't", I find it a little tricky since I'd need good and bad examples and I wouldn't want to offend anyone by showing their work as an example of "don't". Thanks a lot for your input! Much appreciated!
