Before this gets locked, I should point out that nobody says, "IDK."

Jerome Stern wrote a great book, -Making Shapely Fiction-. I'd suggest reading it. It has some great pointers on writing dialogue and effective dialect.

Don't worry... nobody is kicking you out of the forums. It's just if advertisements for exposure were allowed in the lit section, it's all it would become. Plus, there's already a critique section and a thumbshare forum.
