Thank u so much for giving it a shot. I appreciate ur effort, but i don't use ppls names in my song. That sound's old fashioned. Also, I don't use 2012 words like "hottie". This is a serious song. I'm glad u tried tho. That would sound good in a rap song
thats exactly what i do but I sill suck i have wrote songs b4 but id go to my mom for editing and improve it. Sometimes only my mom writes it. Right now she works a lot so she can't at this point. Or rarely she can.
Well, maybe have a go at writing a draft of the lyrics, so you can get down the emotions and thoughts that you are trying to convey. You could post them up to DA for people to read and give you suggestions on the phrasing and words. (It's probably also a good idea to record you singing them and put a link to the video in the description. Its hard to judge on lyrics alone without music, some of my favourite songs have 'bad' lyrics that look wierd on paper, but sound great when they are in the song.)
the main thing i have trouble with is the duration. when i wrote a song about a friend who used me i was so emotional that i just wrote till i got it out of my system which is why its i believe 7 mins. Its a long song and could be boring or idk.
If you look at most country lyrics, you'll notice that most of it is focused on storytelling and makes good use of concrete imagery. Try to think of a specific moment when you realized how much you loved your girlfriend, something you did together, or some specific detail that reveals the less tangible qualities you love.
I dislike Taylor Swift personally, but I notice on your profile that you like her, and I think she might be a decent model to use, since she does actually follow the general "rule" of using specific, concrete detail to tell a story in her lyrics.
You will never be ready for it if you never start it on your own. If you use someone else as a crutch, you will never, ever be ready.
This is why you should use online tutorials.
Have you ever played a game like World of Warcraft? If so, then you know that your crafting skills always begin at 1, but in order to create useful things you must work your way up to crafting skill 375 or greater. Along the way you will make hundreds of crappy, worthless items that no one wants. When you practice enough, though, you will be a master of your craft.
I see what your getting at but one teensy thing. (i dnt want u to think im picking arguments) i heard that michael jackson's songs were written for him. it was obviously the lyrics too because MJ is not like those songs of wanting things to be better. He was of course a successful singer. Everyone loves his music including me (i dont like him tho). I hear that all of his songs aren't written by him and he was successful. No challenge. I'm just a lil confused about ur statement.
i didn't think of it. i would pay u but i dont know u. i hear its illegal to pay ppl u meet online thru mail unless they give u a product. im not sure they count services like writing lyrics. Unless u know a way i can pay u?
ive been singing since i was 13 and im 18 1/2 now. I've been to open mic, in talent shows and i have a youtube. I'm being professionally trained now. So aint that enough? PLUS, I'm going to 5 towns college in the spring!
im not, considering i dont wanna be anything like that loon. i was just using him as an example. idk any other singers especially country singers who get written for. I'm sure there are but MJ was an example i had in mind.
