What inspires you?

I'm not in a slump or anything, but I am really curious what inspires other artists to work.

For me, going to the art store makes me really want to draw because of all of the materials, and I think about how I could use them. I also get inspired by reading, because it makes me think, and want to project my thoughts.

Emotions. "What if..?" questions. Strange imaginary worlds. Mythologies and legends. Metaphysical concepts.
But also, you know, the everyday stuff. Interesting looking trees and rocks. Strange houses. Details around my apartment. People I meet.

Quite right and well said!

As far as my inspiration is concerned, first of all my friend's painting inspired me a lot.

And then ofcourse visiting art stores also act as a motivation for some (including me).
