Composition!

My god, I love drawing. But I look at my art and see how bland I position my characters and how I set up the artwork in general.
Here is an example of an artist whose composition is simply stunning.

I can compare my artwork to her's all day, but I'm not sure how to go about creating an interesting composition. do you guys have any suggestions or ways to practice?
