Movie Short Reviews:
First 20 minutes is terrible…the rest is watchable

If you are a fan of Judd Apatow’s movies, then this may be a film for
you. The first 20-30 minutes was unbearable to watch…nothing was
funny, and every time a word was spoken, the majority of my theatre
burst out laughing…it was not funny. After accepting that this movie
was not going to be funny, I tried to get into the story. It slowly
becomes a watchable movie. The two girls in the movie are cute and
sometimes funny, and some supporting characters make acceptable jokes,
but Leslie Mann’s and Paul Rudd’s performances are nothing special. This
is a film trying to explain why life sucks at 40, and how to change
relationships, but comes out flat. I would not recommend that anyone
spends money to watch this film…if you can see it for free then judge
it for yourself. There were a few good laughs, but that was overpowered
by the many failed jokes in the film.
